Nano Labs founder Jack Kong has regained control of his X account after it was compromised in a phishing attack (fraudulent attempt to steal credentials). An attacker sent a deceptive email to an address Kong commonly uses publicly, while an AI assistant incorrectly identified the embedded link as X’s official verification page. Kong entered the verification code sent by X to the account’s linked email into the fraudulent site, allowing the attacker to take over the account. Earlier reports said the compromised account had published information about a false project.
