Medytox received approval from China’s NMPA (National Medical Products Administration) on the 28th for Neuramis Volume Lidocaine, a hyaluronic acid filler containing the local anesthetic lidocaine. Following earlier approval for Neuramis Deep Lidocaine, Medytox can now sell two Neuramis fillers in China under the local brand name Fillux. The company developed Neuramis using proprietary technology designed to keep residual BDDE, a cross-linking agent, below the standard limit. Neuramis Volume Lidocaine is used to improve facial wrinkles and restore volume in the central facial area while reducing procedure-related pain. A Medytox official said China’s aesthetic medical market is growing, particularly among younger consumers, and that the company plans to expand its locally tailored product lineup and pursue follow-up procedures with its partner, targeting a fourth-quarter launch.
