IDEAYA Biosciences promoted Dr. Michael White from Chief Scientific Officer to President of Research and Development, effective September 28, 2026. White has served as the company’s Chief Scientific Officer since 2021 and previously held senior oncology research roles at Pfizer and UT Southwestern. IDEAYA said he will oversee continued development of its precision medicine pipeline, which includes programs targeting uveal melanoma, pancreatic cancer, small cell lung cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, colorectal cancer and breast cancer. The company’s portfolio includes small-molecule therapies and antibody-drug conjugates (targeted medicines linking antibodies to cancer drugs), with programs based on synthetic lethality (targeting complementary genetic weaknesses in cancer cells) and molecularly defined tumors. IDEAYA said its late-stage programs could establish new standards of care, while early-stage programs could create additional treatment opportunities; the company cautioned that these and other statements are subject to clinical, regulatory, commercial, competitive and intellectual-property risks.
