Thailand's Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira clarified the country's position on cryptocurrency payments during an investment seminar, stating that while some countries allow crypto for purchases, Thailand has not yet adopted such practices. He acknowledged the potential for linking cryptocurrency to certain services under strict conditions, but emphasized that current regulations do not permit this approach. This contrasts with earlier announcements about enabling crypto payments for tourists through credit card platforms.
