Belarus has registered its first two crypto banks as residents of the High-Tech Park, placing it among the first countries to formally establish institutions combining digital-token operations with banking and payment services. The companies have not been identified and cannot begin operating until they receive National Bank accreditation and are entered in its official crypto-bank registry. The registrations, announced at a High-Tech Park supervisory board meeting chaired by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, followed technical and legal reviews of applicants that already operated in the crypto market. The High-Tech Park, a special economic zone and technology incubator established in 2005, is to oversee the institutions alongside the National Bank. Belarus' rules, signed by President Alexander Lukashenko in January and effective from July, require crypto banks to be joint-stock companies and subject them to dual supervision.
