Ric Edelman, a U.S. financial expert, bestselling author and founder of the Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals, reiterated on Monday that Bitcoin could reach $500,000 by 2030. Speaking during the Bitcoin Treasuries Conference, identified in the existing record as the Bitcoin Treasury Conference 2026, Edelman said Bitcoin has been the best-performing asset since its inception and recommended allocating at least 10% and as much as 40% of portfolios to it. He said a 1% allocation by global asset owners could support a $500,000 price, while 2% could imply $1 million. Bitcoin gained 13,611% over the past decade, compared with 229% for gold and 255% for the S&P 500, while its five-year gain was 96%, versus 146% for gold and 78% for the S&P 500. BlackRock has found that a 1% to 2% Bitcoin allocation funded from equities improved risk-adjusted returns for a traditional 60/40 portfolio. Bitcoin was up 1.10% over 24 hours at $83,957, according to Benzinga Pro.
