Outmarket, founded in late 2023 by former Ethos product leader Vishal Sankhla, raised a $34.5 million Series B led by SignalFire, with participation from Fika Ventures, Permanent Capital Ventures, TTV Capital and Dash Fund. The round followed a $17 million Series A four months earlier, bringing total funding to $56.5 million and valuing the company at $355 million, according to a person familiar with the investment. Outmarket says its platform has surpassed 10,000 active users and is used by more than 300 agencies, including over 25% of the top 100 insurance agencies. Its software connects with agency management systems to automate workflows across commercial, employee benefits, personal lines and specialty insurance, including policy analysis, renewals, proposal generation and certificates of insurance. The company has also introduced an AI-powered certificates workflow and plans to extend its capabilities to insurance carriers later this year. Outmarket competes with Fulcrum AI and Further AI in developing an AI operating layer for insurance brokerages, while targeting the largely manual U.S. property and casualty insurance market, which generates more than $1 trillion in annual premiums.
