Oracle shares fell 2.76% to $133.31 as rising oil prices, higher Treasury yields and renewed cyberattacks targeting its PeopleSoft software weighed on the stock. Brent crude approached $108 a barrel after Iran declined to ease demands linked to reopening the Strait of Hormuz, while President Donald Trump sent mixed signals about further talks. The five-year Treasury yield rose 7 basis points to 5.06% as traders increased bets on additional rate hikes before Wednesday's PCE inflation report. Nasdaq 100 futures fell 1%, pressuring growth-oriented software stocks. Separately, Google's Mandiant unit said the ShinyHunters hacking group had resumed large-scale attacks against organizations that changed firewall rules but failed to install Oracle's fix. The activity reached dozens of systems worldwide, following claims that the group stole FBI personnel data through another PeopleSoft flaw. The FBI said it was aggressively investigating the reported breach. Oracle's stock was down about 10.8% over the past week but remained up 4.38% over the past month and 2.17% over the past 90 days. The company had already faced investor concerns over debt and heavy AI infrastructure spending tied partly to OpenAI commitments.
