Bitcoin opened the week starting Sept. 21 at $81,178 and closed at $84,467, after reaching a high of $87,395. The move took prices to levels not seen in more than eight months, trader Martini Guy noted yesterday. No weekly close had been higher since the final week of January, which ended near the same level before bitcoin fell toward $60,000 in early February. The week also marked the end of a quarter in which bitcoin gained about 44%, its second-best Q3 on record. The source then states that two other lines broke at the same time but does not identify them.
