Saudi Arabia will reduce its women’s PIF Global Series from five tournaments in 2026 to one Ladies European Tour event in 2027. The Championship will carry a $4 million purse, compared with $15 million across the five-event series, and is scheduled for July 22-25 at an unconfirmed venue. The decision follows the Public Investment Fund’s April decision to stop funding the men’s LIV Golf tour after the 2026 season. Golf Saudi also committed to a multi-year partnership with the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit, the season-long points competition used to determine the tour’s annual champion. The event, previously held last month as the PIF London Championship, was won by 17-year-old Canadian Anna Huang. Under the PIF Global Series, 29 events will have been staged across three continents through the end of the current calendar year since its launch in 2021.
