Hapag-Lloyd raised its full-year EBITDA outlook for the second time, now expecting earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $3.9 billion to $4 billion, compared with its previous estimate of $2.7 billion to $3.7 billion. The German container shipping company also lifted its EBIT forecast to $1.25 billion to $1.75 billion. Hapag-Lloyd said strong market demand and positive spot freight-rate developments supported the upgrade, but cautioned that volatile rates and geopolitical tensions created uncertainty around the guidance.
