MG Developer is facing a foreclosure lawsuit from Slate Property Group and The Carlyle Group over alleged defaults on $31.1 million of a $105 million construction financing package for Metro Parc South in Hialeah. The lenders cite construction liens, missed reserve deposits and unpaid 2025 property taxes, and are seeking the debt, interest, fees and costs after an expired forbearance agreement (a temporary pause in enforcement). The case adds to eight Miami-Dade Circuit Court lawsuits filed since this summer by lenders seeking a combined $21.4 million from MG and its affiliates. MG says it is negotiating with lenders and seeking an additional investor, while records show it plans to sell its interest in a North Bay Village property to an affiliate of Prosper for $20 million.
