Samsung SDI is showcasing battery solutions for artificial intelligence data centers at Data Centre World Asia (DCWA) 2026 in Singapore, one of Asia’s largest exhibitions covering the data-center ecosystem. About 600 companies from around the world are participating. The company’s first DCWA participation features four zones covering uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, battery backup units (BBUs), Samsung Battery Box (SBB) and battery cells. Displays include a UPS solution that Samsung SDI said was the first to meet all criteria in an indoor large-scale fire test conducted by UL Solutions, high-power 21700 cylindrical ternary batteries with a bottom-vent design, and a cylindrical lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery shown publicly for the first time. The SBB zone features prismatic LFP batteries for SBB 2.0, which integrates batteries, power conversion systems and other components for large-scale energy storage. Samsung SDI plans to meet global customers and present its technologies at technical conferences during the exhibition.
