The KOSPI recovered most of its early decline on the 29th, trading at 6,884.10 as of 10:50 a.m., down 5.64 points, or 0.08%, from the previous session. It had fallen as low as 6,828.50 before low-price buying lifted large-cap semiconductor stocks, including SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics. Foreign investors sold a net 956 billion Korean won and institutions sold 151 billion won, while individual investors bought 778.6 billion won. The rebound followed pressure from surging U.S. 10-year Treasury yields, weak U.S. technology stocks and higher international oil prices. The KOSDAQ fell 0.68% to 840.79, although individual catalysts drove sharp gains in robotics and technology shares including Bigwave Robotics and Global Technology.
