Arcadis unveiled its 2027–2029 strategy, Arcadis’ Reset: Focused Growth, Sustainable Value, at a Capital Markets Day in Amsterdam on 29 September 2026. The plan targets mid-single-digit organic net revenue growth, an operating EBITDA margin in the mid- to high-teens by 2029, a dividend payout ratio of 30% to 40% of net income from operations and net debt of 1.5 to 2.5 times operating EBITDA. Arcadis plans to divest the majority of its architecture business and China operations, with the disposals expected to raise its operating EBITDA margin by about 100 basis points. It also plans to reduce its overhead base by around 1,000 full-time equivalent positions in 2027 while continuing to hire in growth areas. The company reaffirmed 2026 guidance for low-single-digit organic net revenue growth and an operating EBITA margin of 11.7% to 12.0%, equivalent to an operating EBITDA margin of 14.3% to 14.6%. The strategy directs investment toward Core businesses, including transportation and energy and water, and Accelerate businesses, including industrial manufacturing and technology, while applying tighter margin discipline to Optimize activities. Core and Accelerate currently represent 74% of revenue, comprising 53% and 21% respectively, and Arcadis expects their combined share to reach 85% by 2029. AI and digital tools will support automation, standardized delivery and engineering workflows; more than 400 engineers across 17 countries are already using more than 700 AI-enabled workflows. The strategy follows WSP’s withdrawal of its proposed takeover of Arcadis, for which it had offered €51.50 per share.
