Chainlink launched CCIP 2.0 at Sibos 2026 in Miami on September 28, upgrading its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol for institutions and digital-asset issuers moving regulated assets across blockchains. The release adds optional Cross-Chain Verifiers, the Automated Compliance Engine (ACE), modular fees and flexible execution options. An opt-in Ethereum Fast Confirmation Rule setting can confirm eligible transactions in 12 to 24 seconds instead of roughly 13 minutes, while existing integrations retain the default requirement for full source-chain finality. CCIP secures more than $84 billion in cross-chain token value, and migrations have exceeded $15 billion over the past four months. Chainlink also highlighted its Swift Ledger integration, which supports 24/7 tokenized payment workflows for banks without requiring changes to existing technology stacks.
