Blackstone said on Tuesday, Sept. 29, that it was launching Norla, a logistics investment platform covering Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The platform will include more than 200 assets, mainly last-mile warehouses supporting e-commerce, across more than two million square metres. It is expected to begin operating next year, with initial assets valued at about €3 billion ($3.41 billion). Most assets are already owned by Blackstone funds, although some third-party properties could be added. James Seppala, head of real estate in Europe for Blackstone, said investors were increasingly seeking more targeted exposure by geography and asset type as the sector matured.
