Bitwise’s spot NEAR ETF, trading under the ticker NRR on NYSE Arca, began trading Sept. 29 and attracted $35.5 million in net inflows with $15.1 million in first-day volume. The fund is Bitwise’s first U.S. spot product tied to NEAR Protocol, holds NEAR directly with Coinbase Custody as custodian and plans to stake the tokens. NYSE Arca approved the listing after Bitwise registered NRR shares with the Securities and Exchange Commission through a Form 8-A filing in late September. NRR is the sixth single-asset crypto fund in Bitwise’s U.S. lineup, which also includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Hyperliquid products. NEAR subsequently rose about 180% in a month, briefly exceeded $5.50 on Sept. 30 before trading near $5.10, and drew sharply divided analyst views ranging from targets above $10 to warnings of a correction toward $4 or lower. Bitwise said the fund builds on its European NEAR staking ETP and framed the token around potential AI-agent settlement and payments, while acknowledging that related growth projections are not realized results. NRR charges a 0.75% annual management fee, and Grayscale’s proposed conversion of its NEAR trust into an ETF remains pending.
