Weekly altcoin deposit transactions sent to exchanges reached 78,000 on Sept. 28, up about 160% from roughly 29,800 on Sept. 14 and the highest level since October 2025, according to data cited by Cointelegraph and Odaily Star Daily. Altcoin-depositing addresses rose from about 17,600 to 51,600, nearly tripling and reaching a one-year high. The increase may indicate that holders are preparing to sell, although exchange deposits can also reflect profit-taking during an uptrend. The data emerged as CryptoQuant’s Bull Score reached 90 out of 100 after Bitcoin moved above its 365-day moving average, while spot demand fell by about 170,000 Bitcoin over 30 days and speculative futures-demand growth dropped from about 164,000 Bitcoin on Sept. 14 to 16,000 on Sept. 29. Bitcoin traded just above $83,300 after reaching an eight-month high near $87,400. Total2, the combined market capitalization of altcoins including Ethereum, rose more than $371 billion, or 45%, since June 2026, but a bearish RSI divergence and Bitcoin’s market share remaining below 60% added to the risk outlook.
