Anthropic has disclosed in confidential IPO filings that it signed an agreement with SpaceX to pay up to $84.5 billion by 2029 for AI computing resources based on Nvidia chips. Most provisions can be terminated with 90 days’ notice. The amount is substantially higher than earlier disclosures: In May, Anthropic announced a computing-resource leasing deal with SpaceX, while previous SpaceX listing documents described monthly payments of $1.25 billion for approximately three years, totaling nearly $45 billion and also including a 90-day cancellation clause.
