Project Eleven has acquired Riva Labs to strengthen its post-quantum security infrastructure for digital assets, with financial terms undisclosed. The transaction adds Riva’s technology and intellectual property developed across Ethereum and other public blockchains, expanding Project Eleven’s capabilities in post-quantum signatures, hash-based cryptography, post-quantum multi-party computation (MPC), wallet infrastructure, hardware signing and account abstraction. Riva has demonstrated post-quantum signing on consumer hardware and uses AI in its research and engineering process, a capability that will support Project Eleven’s work on post-quantum cryptography and crypto agility. Riva’s team and technology will join Project Eleven’s broader research and product efforts spanning post-quantum cryptography, digital-asset custody and blockchain security. Project Eleven, founded in October 2024, has raised $26 million through a $6 million seed round in June 2025 and a $20 million Series A completed in January 2026, which valued the company at $120 million post-money. Its investors include Castle Island Ventures and Coinbase Ventures, and it has worked with the Solana Foundation and Ripple on quantum-readiness initiatives. The acquisition comes as blockchain developers prepare for potential quantum-computing threats, while NIST's 2024 post-quantum cryptographic standards provide a basis for migration planning.
