Dallas officials have granted Mike Hoque and Mike Ablon a 10-month extension, moving the deadline to purchase the 72-story Bank of America Plaza at 901 Main Street to July 30, 2027. The extension preserves more than $100 million in incentives approved by the Dallas City Council for the proposed $409 million redevelopment of Dallas's tallest tower. The developers are also seeking to include four surrounding Downtown Dallas blocks in the transaction with Chicago-based Metropolis Investment Holdings, which manages assets for a German family investment group. Mike Ablon said the developers still aim to close before the new deadline while completing the development agreement with the city. Officials said the delay reflects the transaction's complexity rather than a threat to the deal. Revised plans reduce office space to 1.5 million square feet from 1.8 million square feet, provide 275 hotel rooms rated four stars or higher, add a glass-and-steel structure for a hotel lobby and ballroom, and include a parking garage with more than 1,000 spaces connected by a skybridge. City documents say construction could be completed by fall 2032.
