Alibaba Group Holding Limited investors have until October 5, 2026, to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in a proposed federal securities class action covering securities purchased or otherwise acquired between June 26, 2025, and June 24, 2026. Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC says the complaint alleges Alibaba and certain officers made materially false or misleading statements and omitted adverse facts concerning the company's relationship with the MIIT and alleged distillation attacks against third-party AI models. The lawsuit contends that, under the National Defense Authorization Act, entities controlled by or affiliated with the MIIT are considered Chinese military companies, and alleges Alibaba was directly or indirectly controlled by or affiliated with the MIIT. Investors do not need to serve as lead plaintiff to share in a potential recovery, while the law firm says it represents investors on a contingency-fee basis.
