Soluna and Bitdeer have expanded their Project Kati 1 agreement by approximately 7 MW, lifting Bitdeer’s total planned deployment at the wind-powered South Texas site to 35 MW and about 2.42 EH/s. The additional capacity is expected to be deployed by November and fully subscribes the project’s K1BC phase. Bitdeer supplies and owns the mining equipment, while Soluna provides the data-center site, power and operating infrastructure, with the companies sharing mining proceeds through a co-mining structure. Project Kati 1 is an 83 MW facility connected with wind generation in Willacy County, Texas. The expansion follows the companies’ original 28 MW agreement announced in August, before that deployment had fully ramped. The arrangement gives Bitdeer access to power and infrastructure while providing Soluna exposure to Bitcoin production rather than only fixed hosting revenue. Mining economics remain sensitive to Bitcoin’s price, network difficulty and power costs.
