Morgan Stanley analyst Meta Marshall raised Okta’s price target to $245 from $200 and reaffirmed an Overweight rating, sending the shares 1% higher in Tuesday morning trading. The revision followed Okta’s investor event earlier this month, where investors assessed the company’s prospects in agentic identity, the systems used to authenticate and manage AI-driven activity. Marshall said investor interest is broadening beyond Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike to include Okta and Fortinet, with SentinelOne and SailPoint also considered in some cases. She expects Okta’s agentic-identity opportunity to develop gradually, while progress on technical debt could support the business this year. Okta’s September 23 Oktane event highlighted AI-agent identity products and partnerships but provided no new financial guidance or updated longer-term targets, leaving investors focused on whether adoption produces stronger bookings, broader deployments and faster revenue growth.
