Eni is offering households a 30% discount on electricity and natural gas through its Plenitude retail business, with discounted prices fixed for two years. Customers must sign up by October 24 to access the offer from October 1. Based on annual consumption of 2,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity and 600 standard cubic meters of gas, Eni estimates savings of about €100 on each service, or roughly €200 for households taking both. The company said it will absorb recent increases in energy procurement costs rather than immediately passing them on under the offer. The discount applies to Plenitude's Fixa Time 24 Smart contract compared with the Fixa Time 24 Base product. The initiative expands Eni for Italy, a series of measures responding to rising household energy costs. Earlier this month, Eni capped diesel prices at €2.19 per liter and gasoline at €1.99 per liter at its Enilive fuel stations after sharp increases in European refined-product prices. Eni said Plenitude could add further measures as energy markets evolve, while European utilities and retailers continue to face volatile procurement costs and pressure to limit wholesale-market effects on household bills.
