Silson24, a computerized claims service for actual expense insurance, was linked to 50,340 of 105,643 medical institutions, or 47.7%, as of the 28th. The Financial Services Commission aims to raise the linkage rate to 80–90% by year-end by working with electronic medical-record vendors, contacting nonparticipating institutions and simplifying certificate issuance. If voluntary participation remains insufficient, the government plans to seek amendments to the Insurance Business Act allowing fines for institutions with persistently low participation. The service electronically sends receipts, detailed billing statements and prescriptions to insurers after a consumer requests a claim. It began in October 2024 with about 7,800 hospital-level institutions and public health centers, then expanded to about 98,000 clinics and pharmacies from Oct. 25 last year. Silson24 had about 5.21 million subscribers and 4.61 million cumulative claims as of the latest update. From Oct. 7, consumers who authorize MyData will be able to complete claims directly through Naver Maps, Naver Pay and Toss without re-entering treatment or payment details. Naver’s services will also add participation markers, direct claim links and a Silson24 search filter.
