Thailand’s industrial production rose 4.44% year-on-year in August 2026, far exceeding the 1% increase analysts expected in a Reuters poll and extending growth for a second consecutive month. The result marked the strongest industrial production growth since September 2022, supported by stronger electronics output, government stimulus measures and a weaker baht. The Industry Ministry last month cut its 2026 factory-output growth forecast to between 0.0% and 0.5%, from an earlier range of 1.0% to 2.0%.
