Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, said Ethereum will reach $10,000 by the end of 2026 during KBW2026 in Seoul, a target that would require the token to rise roughly 3.7 times from its price near $2,700. Hayes said Ethereum remains the most secure layer 1 because of its market capitalization and argued that its periods of underperformance reflected shifting market narratives, including Solana's role in the memecoin trade. ETH was about 46% below its $4,946 all-time high despite gaining just under 70% in the third quarter after declines of 29.26% in the first quarter and 25.28% in the second. Spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $892 million of net inflows during September, lifting cumulative inflows to $13.95 billion, though a daily inflow streak ended with a $2.8 million outflow. Hayes's recent ETH trades included losses after sales in July and August.
