Aave is pursuing an expansion of its collateralized lending business beyond cryptocurrencies into securities and productive real-world assets. Through V4 on Base, the protocol plans to support tokenized stock-backed loans that would let users borrow USDC against seven U.S. stocks, including tokenized shares such as Coinbase. AAVE rose 13% over the latest 24-hour period at press time as whale activity, trading volume and exchange reserves also moved higher, creating a mixed setup as buyers pushed the token upward. Founder Stani Kulechov described the expansion in stages, moving from crypto assets to securities and eventually physical assets such as solar power equipment, batteries, GPUs, robots and space infrastructure. Earlier topic material described the Base initiative as launched, while newer remarks characterize it as a plan still being pursued. AAVE mainly relies on buybacks, although those repurchases have been halted for an extended period, and proposed tokenomics 3.0 may consider adding a burn mechanism. Implementation and investor allocation remain uncertain and depend on market participants’ decisions.
