CNBC host Jim Cramer said Wall Street may be overreacting to the potential impact of Meta Platforms Inc.’s Muse AI agent on consumer-focused companies, identifying Airbnb Inc. as relatively insulated from the technology. He argued that an AI agent could book a hotel more easily than arrange a direct booking with a property owner, while expressing skepticism that consumers would share bank information with such systems. Cramer compared the concerns with the earlier SaaSpocalypse, when enterprise software stocks fell before recovering. Since Muse launched on Sept. 8, Planet Fitness Inc. has declined about 20%, Booking Holdings Inc. has fallen around 16%, and Airbnb has dropped nearly 16%. Cramer separately said Meta should be viewed as an enterprise company after Muse’s deployment, potentially lifting its valuation from an 18 times multiple to 24-25. Analysts have outlined possible revenue opportunities through app-driven downloads, transaction fees and advertising, while Bank of America Securities warned Muse could challenge Apple’s discovery, referral and payment-related revenue. Meta shares closed 3.24% higher at $738.79, were up 29.08% over the past month and 11.92% year-to-date, then rose about 0.61% to $743.30 after hours.
