The Jiangxi China-Africa Gen-Z Youth Entrepreneurship Competition concluded in Nanchang with an award ceremony and entrepreneurship forum on September 29, 2026. The event featured the Bamboo Bridges China-Africa: Coolness Co-Creation Project and the Jiangxi-Based Vertical AIGC Digital Collaboration Platform, while a roundtable examined how digital innovation can expand opportunities for young people in China and Africa. Launched in January alongside the Jiangxi China-Africa Youth Entrepreneurship Alliance, the competition received 147 eligible proposals, 56% of them from joint Chinese-African teams. Sixteen projects reached the final after multiple evaluations, addressing needs including healthcare, vocational training, modern agriculture and mining. Six projects won first, second or third prizes, and 10 received excellence awards. The ceremony completed the 2026 Gen-Z China-Africa Youth Entrepreneurship Platform Series, with African youth representative Emmanuel Edward calling for the initiative to continue growing.
