Stable, the company behind StableChain, has integrated Visa Direct into the USDT-native Layer-1 blockchain’s settlement infrastructure, connecting onchain stablecoin payments with bank accounts and mobile wallets worldwide in both directions. Businesses can send funds from onchain accounts directly to recipients’ bank accounts or mobile wallets in real time, without requiring recipients to hold a crypto wallet or understand blockchain mechanics. Visa Direct reaches billions of payment endpoints across more than 195 countries. StableChain launched its mainnet in December 2025 with gas fees and payments denominated in USDT and targets sub-second transaction finality. The move follows Stable’s September 18 integration enabling direct bank transfers from Polygon wallets holding USDT and PYUSD, while users retained custody until processing. StableChain’s STABLE token has a fixed supply of 100 billion and is used for governance and staking, rather than gas or payments. Stakers participate in StableBFT, the network’s delegated Proof of Stake consensus mechanism, and receive a share of gas revenue generated by USDT transactions.
