J.P. Morgan resumed coverage of European investment platforms and stock exchanges with a selective view shaped by diverging regional economic conditions. The broker reinstated TP ICAP at overweight with a December 2027 target of 461 pence, citing structural growth drivers and improving operating leverage that it believes are not reflected in consensus estimates. FinecoBank and Banca Mediolanum were also resumed at overweight, with targets of €29 and €28, respectively. Both are on Positive Catalyst Watch before their third-quarter results, scheduled for Nov. 5 and Nov. 10, and J.P. Morgan expects upward revisions to consensus net interest income. The bank took a more cautious stance on UK platforms, cutting St. James's Place and Aberdeen Group to neutral. St. James's Place faces a Negative Catalyst Watch ahead of its Oct. 29 update, with higher interest rates and potential tax increases in the Autumn Budget seen weighing on flows; its £0.9 billion third-quarter net-flow forecast is about 20% below consensus. Quilter remained at overweight. In the Nordics, Nordnet was raised to overweight with a SEK401 target, while Avanza Bank was reinstated at neutral with a SEK408 target. Among exchanges, London Stock Exchange Group and Deutsche Boerse were resumed at overweight, while Euronext was resumed at neutral. All targets are for December 2027.
