Ripple President Monica Long said public blockchains will account for most tokenized volume during a Korea Blockchain Week session in Seoul, where she appeared with Caroline D. Pham, acting CFTC Chair (U.S. derivatives regulator). Long said private-blockchain benefits are being added to the XRP Ledger through Confidential Transfer (XLS-96) and Permission Delegation (XLS-75). The XRP Ledger is a decentralized public Layer 1 blockchain, and the features are designed to support institutional privacy and delegated account permissions. Permission Delegation and Batch, together with its fix upgrade, are expected to reach XRPL mainnet on October 8 and October 9, 2026, respectively, if they maintain more than 80% support during the two-week activation window. Separately, CSD BR said its partnership with Ripple has entered its first phase, with an initial XRPL issuance expected to represent about $15 billion in market capitalization.
