TOP Ships Inc. closed its previously announced July 28, 2026, share purchase agreement with a related party, acquiring three special-purpose companies that each hold a shipbuilding contract for a high-specification, ECO, scrubber-fitted MR Product Tanker. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2029 and have secured firm five-year time charters with an oil major from delivery, subject to a one-year extension option. TOP Ships operates tankers with total capacity of 857,000 dwt and has contracts for 11 additional 50,000 dwt MR newbuildings, one of which it has agreed to sell. The company also intends to divest its megayacht M/Y Para Bellvm. The release cautions that construction, delivery, charter employment, the vessel sale and the yacht divestiture are forward-looking matters subject to risks and uncertainties.
