U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $148.69 million in net outflows on Sept. 30, 2026, ending a reported inflow streak as Bitcoin traded sideways between $82,000 and $85,000 for more than a week. Bitfinex estimated that roughly $190 million of daily net inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs would be needed to absorb Bitcoin supply clustered between $84,000 and $86,500, where about 1.39 million BTC sit near break-even. Its BAER measure, which compares daily ETF Bitcoin purchases with newly mined supply, dropped from 25.6 on Sept. 21 to 1.8 on Sept. 29 and would need to recover to about five to clear that supply. The flow slowdown has coincided with weaker spot demand, increased profit-taking and sell orders above the market, despite Bitcoin's 6.33% September gain and technical indicators that CryptoQuant said pointed to a new bull market.
