Intel added NVIDIA OpenShell to its enterprise-agent toolkit as shares rose approximately 2.2% to $118.555 at around 10:44 a.m. ET Wednesday. The integration gives autonomous AI agents a policy layer with sandboxed execution, YAML-based rules, kernel-level enforcement, default-deny controls and isolated credentials on Xeon processors. OpenShell can govern file, process and network access, support live policy updates and maintain audit trails. It is optional, disabled by default and activated with the deploy_openshell=on configuration flag. NVIDIA launched OpenShell on September 28, 2026, alongside its Open Agent Safety Platform, while Intel integrated the open-source Apache-2.0 project into its toolkit without replacing existing components. Customers can also combine the feature with encrypted Trust Domain Extensions virtual machines and models running on Xeon processors. Intel disclosed no hardware-order figure or revenue commitment, leaving adoption and operational overhead as key investor tests. GuruFocus said it detected five warning signs with INTC and placed the shares 268.21% above its $32.20 GF Value estimate.
