Altcoin exchange deposits rose roughly 160% in two weeks, with the seven-day count reaching approximately 78,000 transactions on Sept. 28 versus 29,800 on Sept. 14, according to CryptoQuant data. Depositing addresses nearly tripled from 17,600 to approximately 51,600, indicating broader participation rather than activity concentrated among a few large wallets. The reading was the highest since October 2025. The surge does not confirm selling, but it places more tokens within reach of centralized-exchange liquidity and increases potential sell-side pressure after September's gains. Near Protocol (NEAR) traded around $5.29 after rising approximately 21.7% over seven days, while Stellar (XLM) was up approximately 9.9% at $0.2236 and XRP traded around $1.48. All three recorded declines over the latest 24-hour period. CryptoQuant also reported that Bitcoin spot demand contracted by roughly 170,000 BTC over 30 days and speculative futures-demand growth fell about 90% between Sept. 14 and Sept. 29. Recent Bitcoin buyers held average unrealized profits of roughly 33%. The next test is whether demand can absorb the deposits without breaking support levels established during September's rally.
