Crypto funds drew $3.55 billion in the week after the Federal Reserve raised its benchmark rate by 0.25 percentage points to a 3.75%-4.00% range, marking the strongest weekly inflow of 2026, according to CoinShares. The asset manager said the policy decision ended weeks of uncertainty and coincided with renewed institutional buying, even as higher rates increased the appeal of interest-bearing safe assets such as government bonds. Bitcoin funds attracted $2.52 billion, Ethereum funds received $702 million, Solana funds took in $193 million and XRP funds added $92.3 million. US products accounted for $3.43 billion, while US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded inflows on all five trading days. The rebound followed a failed Senate vote on the CLARITY Act on September 15 and a drop in Bitcoin below $75,000. Bitcoin was trading near $84,236, up 1.37% over 24 hours, while traders priced in a less than 40% chance of another October rate hike. MicroStrategy bought 1,666 BTC, adding to its 847,666 BTC holdings, partly funded by issuing MSTR shares. CoinShares noted that the share sale diluted existing shareholders. The next major market event is Friday's jobs report, after US PCE inflation cooled to 3.4% in August.
