Micron Technology forecast first-quarter revenue of $61.5 billion, plus or minus $1.5 billion, above analysts’ average estimate of $57.02 billion, signaling continued momentum from the artificial-intelligence memory-chip boom. The company expects adjusted profit of $38.15 per share, plus or minus $1, compared with the $35.40 estimate. Generative AI has increased demand for high-bandwidth memory (specialized memory for AI processors), which is essential to data centers and has benefited Micron as a key supplier to Nvidia. Micron said orders exceed its capacity as the company remains the only major U.S.-based HBM chipmaker. The surge has also tightened supplies of conventional chips and pushed prices higher across the semiconductor market. Fourth-quarter revenue more than quadrupled to $54.23 billion, beating the $51.07 billion estimate, while adjusted profit reached $33.42 per share, above the $31.61 forecast.
