Sherwin-Williams opened its expanded architectural paint and coatings manufacturing facility in Statesville, North Carolina, following a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on Sept. 30, 2026. The site is now the company’s largest plant in North America. The expansion adds nearly 50,000 square feet of improvements, including more production space, automation enhancements, four rail spurs and related infrastructure. It is designed to increase manufacturing capacity, improve material handling and strengthen distribution and logistics capabilities. The facility complements a nearby distribution service center that connects production, transportation and distribution with Sherwin-Williams’ global operations. The project was supported by approved incentives from North Carolina, Iredell County and the City of Statesville. Sherwin-Williams has operated in Statesville since 1993 and selected the site for its transportation access, skilled workforce and strategic position in the company’s manufacturing and distribution network.
