Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP remain rangebound as speculative capital rotates toward altcoins tied to institutional infrastructure. Quant drew record whale activity, with 645 transactions worth at least $100,000 recorded in one day, the highest total ever reported by Santiment. Quant develops technology that enables banks to move money and assets across different blockchain systems without changing platforms. The Clearing House, a bank-owned network handling trillions of dollars in daily U.S. payments, selected Quant on Sept. 24 to help power a system for moving bank deposits on-chain. Analyst Greg Lunt cited adoption involving Murex, whose software is used by 65 of the world’s 100 largest banks, Oracle, which added Quant’s technology to its enterprise digital-asset software, and central-bank testing by the Bank for International Settlements, Bank of England and European Central Bank. Quant has a hard cap of 14.88 million tokens, making large purchases more influential in a limited market. The Graph recorded 24 transactions of at least $100,000 in one day, its busiest day of the year. Chainlink reached a fresh high despite some smaller holders selling, while its upgraded cross-chain asset-transfer technology has processed more than $24 billion. Veteran trader Peter Brandt identified Stellar as a long-term speculative pick and shared a monthly chart. Glassnode said altcoin spot trading volume had risen to nearly four times Bitcoin’s, the highest ratio since September 2025. Similar increases in risk appetite have often coincided with local Bitcoin tops, although the ratio alone cannot predict a reversal.
