Autopilot, Aerodrome’s automated liquidity management service powered by Mellow ALM, will stop public operations after the March 25, 2026 epoch and then move into private mode. Users with deposits have until April 25, 2026, to withdraw through the Autopilot interface. The service is non-custodial: positions are held through veNFTs, leaving users in control of their assets during the transition. Autopilot automated the management of veAERO, or locked AERO with voting power over reward allocation, including epoch voting and reward collection. It managed approximately 50 million veAERO per epoch and facilitated more than $2.5 million in rewards distribution. Mellow ALM has powered Aerodrome’s liquidity management tools since at least 2024, including v2 upgrades for dynamic rebalancing strategies. The shutdown comes as Aero, scheduled to launch on October 21, 2026, plans to combine Aerodrome and Velodrome under a single AERO token in a cross-chain MetaDEX supporting seven EVM chains. Aero is also set to include native automation for LP strategies, voting and rewards, making independent public tools such as Autopilot redundant. The gap between Autopilot’s public shutdown and Aero’s planned launch leaves users who relied on automation needing an interim arrangement.
