Shinhan Securities maintained its Buy rating on LG Electronics and raised its target price by 61% from 180,000 Korean won to 290,000 won. The stock closed at 211,500 won on the previous trading day. The brokerage said valuation is shifting from the Home Appliance and Vehicle Solution businesses toward robots and the Energy Solution division, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Third-quarter 2026 sales are projected at 24.1327 trillion won and operating profit at 1.0013 trillion won, increases of 10.3% and 45.3%, respectively, from a year earlier. The operating profit estimate was cut about 11% because of lower projections for LG Innotek, but Shinhan said core businesses retain strong growth momentum. The brokerage cited LG Electronics’ expanding role in the artificial intelligence value chain, 600 billion won of cooling-solutions orders secured in the first half of this year, and the visibility of new businesses. It expects Energy Solution sales and operating profit next year to rise 17% and 39%, respectively, with order inflows anticipated from the fourth quarter of this year through the first quarter of next year and valuation catalysts at events including CES. The target-price increase also reflects expected entry into the HVAC AI market next year, faster robot commercialization and stable performance from existing businesses. LG Electronics has been listed as a partner for NVIDIA’s network power and cooling sectors, with product specifications approved, while Cloi robot mass production and actuator pilot production lines are advancing.
