Digital asset investment products attracted $3.55 billion in the latest reporting week, the strongest weekly inflow total of 2026, with Bitcoin receiving $2.52 billion, Ethereum $702 million, Solana $193 million and XRP $92.3 million. Bitcoin returned 42.71% in Q3, its best third quarter on CoinGlass data, with gains of 7.36% in July, 24.95% in August and 6.33% in September. The rally accelerated after the U.S. Treasury's Aug. 20 decision to at least double longer-term bond buybacks and President Donald Trump's renewed pledge to make the U.S. the crypto industry's home. Bitcoin rose from about $65,000 toward $75,000 within days, later exceeded $87,000 and traded above $84,000 at the latest reading. Ether outperformed, rising 70.8% in Q3 and trading above $2,600. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs drew about $6.34 billion in Q3 after roughly $5 billion of second-quarter outflows, while spot Ethereum ETFs received about $3.05 billion and XRP ETFs attracted approximately $308 million. Citi said a failed Senate vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act narrowed the route to market-structure legislation, although Securities and Exchange Commission announcements reduced negative sentiment. Higher Treasury yields, leverage and ETF-flow reversals remained risks entering Q4.
