More than 60 million additional eligible children now have automatically enrolled Trump Accounts, completing a Treasury initiative that expands the program to children under 18 with valid Social Security numbers. The tax-advantaged investment accounts are part of a broader program covering about 73 million children under the 2025 tax law signed by President Trump. Parents or guardians must claim an account through the official Trump Accounts app for iOS or Android to manage it, enable contributions from family members, friends and employers, and qualify the child for Treasury’s one-time $1,000 seed contribution. The accounts launched on July 4, and Treasury said the completed enrollment also creates a pathway for philanthropic contributions.
