Pandora has begun operations at a US$150 million factory in Ho Chi Minh City, its fourth worldwide and first manufacturing site outside Thailand in nearly four decades. The facility, which Pandora describes as the world’s largest fine jewellery crafting facility, will increase the Danish jewellery maker’s overall capacity by around 50% and employ 7,000 workers when fully operational, with annual production capacity of up to 60 million pieces. Pandora sold 112 million pieces in 2025 and expects Vietnam to represent a third of global capacity by 2030. Chief Executive Berta de Pablos-Barbier said Asia remains a very positive region for Pandora, with Japan nearly doubling in size in only a few years and China returning to growth. The company also sees rising consumer appetite for lab-grown diamonds, supported by their affordability and sustainability credentials. The plant is intended to diversify production, strengthen supply-chain resilience and support Pandora’s expansion into platinum-plated jewellery. It will operate entirely on renewable electricity, use recycled silver and gold, and has achieved LEED Gold certification.
