Filtronic PLC secured a record $68.1 million follow-on order from SpaceX for Cerus E-band gallium nitride solid-state power amplifier units used in ground infrastructure supporting Starlink. The contract, whose deliveries are scheduled mainly for fiscal 2028, exceeds Filtronic’s previous $62.5 million SpaceX order awarded in 2025 and aligns with existing financial guidance. Shares rose as much as 14% to 270 pence. Cavendish retained its buy recommendation and 290 pence price target, saying firm orders cover more than 90% of anticipated FY2028 revenue. The firm left its forecasts unchanged at £75 million in revenue and £17 million in adjusted EBITDA for fiscal 2028. Filtronic’s shares are up about 35% this year, while the company continues to face risks from contract timing, margin pressure and uneven free cash flow.
