BTS has become the first pop group to surpass $500 million in cumulative ticket sales, reaching the milestone through its ongoing Arirang world tour, Billboard said. The tour is the seventh by any group to exceed that figure, but the six other acts are all rock bands. Much of the total came in August, when BTS performed 12 concerts attended by about 800,000 fans and generated $171.7 million in ticket revenue. That made the group the No. 1 act on Billboard's monthly Top Tours chart for the fifth time. Bad Bunny leads that ranking with 10 No. 1 finishes, while Beyonce, Coldplay and Elton John have seven each. BTS's August revenue was the second-highest monthly total in Billboard Boxscore history, behind Beyonce's August 2023 figure. With around 40 concerts remaining on the schedule, Billboard projected that the tour could eventually produce $1 billion in cumulative revenue.
